For a while I thought it was me and the choices I made, how I interviewed and my own emotional baggage. However, I have been curious about the unspoken or the hidden aspects of change in companies and why so many places operate as freakish circus side shows micro managers and all.
There is an area of the economy called psychoanalytic organizational consulting that takes a psychoanalytic approach to the symptoms of suffering within companies large and small. Most are psychologically defensive. Their mantra is “no problem here.” The emotional malaise of those who work for the corporation tells a different story.
