Everyday Invalidations Reduce Screen Time

This is almost hypocritical seeing that I am staring at a screen to compose this.  I spent the morning coloring with my 3 year old and yes it felt good not to be glued to a screen.  What happened to the freedom of coloring inside and outside of the lines?

It need not be perfect nor get the gold star however,  the requirement is fun and learning competency.   What happened to fun? Frivolous fun like we used to have.  The takeaway for you today dear reader is this.  When I was coloring I was not anxious about my detachment from the screen or my devices.  I was okay with “being” a dad coloring.  And that is change!
